Deep in the City Festival in September

The highly anticipated Deep in the City Festival is back on 7 and 8 September.
Festival organisers Jurra Inn are pulling out all the stops to deliver an event that is bigger and better than ever.
A major boost to this year's edition is the newly formed media partnership with Namibian Sun's entertainment brand, Tjil, which is designed to increase the festival's visibility and provide an enriching experience for revellers.
In an exclusive interview, Maggie Sacharias said: “Our media partnership with Tjil includes exclusive event previews, real-time coverage and post-event highlights,” she explained. “This collaboration will increase the visibility of our festival, attract a wider audience and enrich the festival experience by keeping visitors engaged and well-informed.”
New and diverse
As the countdown ticks on, excitement is building for the new features the 2024 edition has to offer. Festival-visitors can look forward to an expanded and more diverse programme that covers a wider range of musical tastes and artistic expressions. But the improvements go beyond the artists. With an improved stage design, better flow management and improved facilities, organisers are responding to feedback from previous years.
“Our visitors can look forward to an expanded programme with different artists, improved stage design and interactive experiences including art booths and new food and drink options,” she explained. “We have also improved the layout of the festival to better manage flow and created more shaded areas for greater comfort. As a team, we have addressed some of the things our customers were not happy with last year, so this year we are committed to providing a better service for everyone and an even better experience.”
Sun-El Musician, the South African producer and DJ, has been announced as the headliner. The local line-up includes One Blood, Yeezir, Mega and Slay J Enkali.
