Exciting opportunity for young models
Twelve young Namibians between the ages of 10 and 19 depart on Sunday to receive training aboard an MSC cruise ship in, among other things, modelling.Project Aim is an exciting new initiative designed to open doors for all aspiring models aged seven and older.
According to the director of Figures Models Namibia, Juanita Koen, it provides an opportunity for models to gain experience, explore the world and build their portfolios.

Mia Coetzee (19), Faizah Bwalya (19), Le-Roshaan Julius (15), Jay-Lynn Husselman (16), Jayln Vilander (16), Louw Zwart (17), Zuriel Campbell (19), SJ Goosen (11), Mila Swiegers (10), Dorakatia Negongo (10), Louwrens van Zyl (18) and Janine Esterhuizen (18) depart on Sunday and board the MSC ship on Monday.
The young aspiring models will return to Namibia on 8 March.
Well-rounded individuals
The aim of Project Aim is to go beyond traditional modelling by focusing on cultivating well-rounded individuals who are equipped with the skills and confidence to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment.
Participants will receive intensive training that includes not only walking techniques and ways of posing, but also essential life skills such as communication, etiquette and cultural sensitivity.
Participants will also have the opportunity to showcase their talents in front of international modeling agents.
“This is more than just a modeling competition, it is an investment in the future of Namibian talent,” says Koen.
“We believe this program will not only launch successful modelling careers, but also contribute to the growth of Namibia’s creative industries and promote our nation on a global scale.”
