NTN packed for Cash tribute
The National Theatre was ablaze with an electrifying performance by Riaan Smit and his band The Shadowkatz (Wayne Wentzel on drums and Kyle Cyriax on bass) on Saturday when they took the stage by storm, captivating the audience with their mesmerizing Johnny Cash tribute show.Joining them for an unforgettable evening was enchanting Swakopmund singer Jessica Ashley. As if the music wasn't enough to stir the soul, a portion of the proceeds from this unforgettable event went to support the SPCA.
Recognised as a notable Namibian musician, Riaan has become a household name in the country's music scene. Throughout his career, he has spearheaded numerous musical projects, including Crimson House, The Shadowkatz, and his solo work.
Smit's passion for music extends far beyond the borders of Namibia, as he recently embarked on a successful tour in the United States and the Caribbean, captivating international audiences with his most recent singles.
The concert at the NTN was not only a testament to Smit's immense talent but also to his dedication to giving back to the community. By choosing to donate a portion of the show's proceeds to the SPCA, Smit demonstrated his unwavering commitment to animal welfare.
