NTV Awards set for 12 February

Ashwyn Mberi, Creative Director of the NTV Awards 2025, announced that the awards are set to take place on Wednesday, 12 February in the National Theatre of Namibia.This marks the second instalment of the awards, which honour the creativity, dedication, and impact of NTV television personalities on Namibian and international screens.
“This celebration recognises the hard work of our industry’s talent and the powerful connection their shows have with audiences,” Mberi said. The selection process spotlighted programmes with the highest engagement, views, and reach, ensuring a representative showcase of talent.
This year has two audience-driven categories: Viewer’s Choice Presenter of the Year and TJIL Personality of the Year. Voting for these will be conducted exclusively via the Synergi chatbot, empowering fans to participate directly. Winners in other categories will be chosen by an esteemed panel of external adjudicators.
Nominees include Evening Review, UITSPEEL and On The Rocks for Show of the Year while Toivo Ndjebela, Aina Kweyo, Brian Munango, Diana Master and Jo-Mare Duddy vie for Viewer’s Choice Presenter of the Year. Notable lifestyle and sports programmes also dominate the list, with dynamic talents like DJ Vuyo, Ms Gideon, Jericho, Kaptein Tswazi and P-Star competing for TJIL Personality of the Year.
