Riaan releases ‘Never Ending Dream’
“Who are you listening to? Who told you what you could do? Who says you don't deserve it all?”Namibian musician Riaan Smit’s new song about manifestation and gratitude needs to be heard by all.
While Riaan is most famously known as the frontman of Crimson House, during his solo career he undertook extensive global tours and shared stages with giants like Bryan Adams, Shaggy, Sean Paul and The Chainsmokers to name a few.
To date, Riaan has released two solo albums and four albums with Crimson House. And today sees the release of his new single and video Never Ending Dream.
Riaan wrote the song while being in contemplation of gratitude, manifestation, and what it means to never give up on your dreams, whatever they may be.
“The biggest enemy of our success is self-doubt and the only way to rid yourself of doubt in your abilities is to envision what you want as if you already have it. I like to use my daydreaming for manifestation and gratitude,” says Riaan
People often fear aiming for the life they want based on being told by others that their dream life isn't possible to attain. The truth is whether you think you can or can't do it, you are right.
“I was writing this song while thinking deeply about the kind of life I would love to have, and I realised that I already have it. The gratitude that I felt for being as lucky as I am, to be an artist, to have the privilege of being able to do what I love as a career, the gratitude I have for the people who support my music, is immense, so I wrote this song to motivate anyone who feels lost and is seeking a better life, and for those who already are living their dream and can continue to feel gratitude for what they have.
“I believe we are all born with a superpower of some kind, and we all have a noble use for that power. Find yours, and gift it to the world,” he says.
Never Ending Dream was recorded at Tribe One studios in Swakopmund and features singer Jessica Ashley on backing vocals. The music video was filmed by Renier de Bruyn of Endemic Productions.
