FNB Namibia partners with ASBN

In line with FNB Namibia's drive to enable business growth, ensuring that their client's businesses – large and small, across all sectors – have the support and tools they need to thrive, grow and innovate, the bank announce its partnership with the Africa Scotland Business Network (ASBN).
A pivotal organisation that bridges the gap between Scottish businesses and emerging markets across Africa, ASBN is a well-established, dynamic network that connects over 110 companies and educational institutions from more than 15 countries worldwide. The partnership with ASBN will open new avenues for collaboration, leading to more significant international opportunities for Namibia and helping to strengthen its global business ties.
Speaking at the engagement, Connie Theyse, FNB Namibia's Head of Enterprise Banking, stated that the partnership marks a significant step forward in the bank’s mission to support their clients and to position Namibia as a leading gateway for Scottish companies seeking to expand into Africa.
“Their growing influence and reputation in the international business community align perfectly with FNB Namibia's vision of driving economic growth and innovation for our clients and our country.”
As a key player in the banking sector, FNB Namibia is committed to monitoring economic trends and identifying key areas of transformation.
Through the partnership, FNB aims to strengthen FNB Namibia's position as a key cross-border trade and investment facilitator; support customers' businesses as they expand their reach beyond borders to new markets; and expand partnership opportunities for some of FNB Namibia's key economic sectors, such as tourism, logistics, agriculture and construction.
Claire Alexander, the co-founder of ASBN, highlighted the significance of the partnership, noting that it represents an exciting step forward.
“Our network is expanding, and we are well on our way to becoming Africa's International Business Network of choice. When you make strides into another country, you know that you need the support of a bank and our relationship with FNB will be instrumental in ensuring success.”
