Entries open for OLAF
The National Theatre of Namibia (NTN) and Goethe-Institut Namibia have called for artistic entries for the second edition of the annual Otjomuise Live Arts Festival (OLAF) taking place in the capital from 14 to 22 October.OLAF aims to bridge life and the arts by providing opportunities for live artistic forms to be showcased in Windhoek’s public open spaces.
In a media release, individual and ensemble performing artists, visual, digital, and conceptual artists are invited to propose small-scale works that are logistically feasible and family-friendly to be included in the festival by submitting an application online until 30 May 2022.
Artists are welcome to suggest preferred public sites but should be specific about the locations to be considered.
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted after the deadline.
The festival hosted over 30 artists last year showcasing small-scaled happenings, installations, performances, live music, and public engagements that were spread across the city.
