Financial safety net for NCS

Namforce Managing Director Martin Shaanika and Commissioner General Raphael Hamunyela of the Namibian Correctional Service (NCS) and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Correctional Service Club (CSC) signed an agreement to ensure financial protection for CSC employees while on duty.
Shaanika emphasised the importance of collaboration and the affordability and flexibility of Namforce's employee benefits. "This partnership between Namforce Life Insurance and the CSC demonstrates our commitment to our client's well-being, security, and future. It highlights the essential role of comprehensive financial protection and support during critical times," he said.
As the youngest and only Namibian-owned insurance company, Namforce values CSC's trust in its services. Shaanika highlighted the high standard set by CSC's dedication to their staff's needs and noted that Namforce's benefits are typically payable within 48 hours, ensuring swift financial support when needed most.
Commissioner General Hamunyela praised Namforce's proactive commitment to financial education and awareness among its staff and the wider nation. "This partnership marks a significant milestone in addressing the needs of our correctional officers. It ensures dignified funerals for officers and their families, reducing financial burdens during difficult times. It also reflects Namforce's dedication to providing innovative financial protection," he stated.
Hamunyela shared the challenges faced by officers and their families during unforeseen expenses, particularly funerals. He noted that the NCS, through the CSC, identified Namforce Life Insurance as the most suitable service provider after researching group schemes to alleviate financial burdens, leading to this agreement.
