Cheers, Abiturs!

DHPS bids farewell to the German International Abitur Class of 2024
“A ticket to a world full of opportunities and a valuable tool to cross the threshold into a self-determined and responsible life.”
This is how the principal of the Deutsche Höhere Privatschule (DHPS), Jörg Przybilla, described the German International Abitur at the farewell ceremony on 1 November 2024, in the presence of graduates, their families, guests, sponsors, and the German Ambassador, Dr Thorsten Hutter.
Sixty-two young, motivated individuals now proudly hold their Abitur certificates, while two learners have completed the academic part of the German Fachhochschulreife certificate.
With an impressive average of 2.25 and a total of 22 A's before the decimal point, this year's DHPS graduates performed very well, showcasing their abilities in the written, oral and presentation examinations. In comparison: The DHPS Abitur average lies between the German federal state averages, ranging from 2.12 to 2.47.
While some learners already have a clear idea of their future training and study paths, others still have important decisions to make.
Przybilla encouraged the graduates: “Face the challenges, don't be afraid, but look for solutions. As DHPS graduates, you are well equipped to view the world with open eyes.”
The school community extends its best wishes to the Abitur Class of 2024 for their future pursuits.
The DHPS is the only school in Namibia offering the German International Abitur. As a German school abroad and part of the network of 140 German schools worldwide, it provides learners direct access to study or training in Germany, Europe and elsewhere.
