German language diplomas awarded by DHPS

Earlier this week, grade 10 to 12 learners as well as some of the alumni 2022 at the Deutsche Höhere Privatschule Windhoek (DHPS) held the results of their hard work in their hands: Following numerous German lessons, diligent studies and tireless efforts, the young people were awarded their German language diplomas (DSD I & II).
In a festive ceremony, German Ambassador to Namibia Herbert Beck, DHPS Principal Kristin Eichholz, and German teacher Helga Falk presented the certificates.
The German Language Diploma (DSD) examinations of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs in the Federal Republic of Germany are examinations for learners of German as a foreign language at schools abroad, which are administered by the Central Agency for Schools Abroad (ZfA). DSD II is considered proof of the German language skills required for studying at a German preparatory college or university.
A special feature of the DSD is the comprehensive assessment of all language skills, i.e. learners must pass all areas (listening comprehension, reading comprehension, oral and written communication). The 12 DSD I and 6 DSD II graduates have mastered this with flying colours. Congratulations, we are proud of you and are looking forward to finding out where your future achievements will take you
