Learning via TV and social media

The Capricorn Foundation has recommitted to the LearnOnOne Initiative with N$200 000 funding for 2024, enhancing its support for education as a key focus.
LearnOnOne, aiming to bridge the digital gap, offers supplementary education via broadcast television, ensuring access to after-school lessons for Namibian learners. This collaboration expands the reach of quality education via One Africa Television and the LearnOnOne website, benefiting secondary, ECD, and primary students.
With a viewership of 5.9 million between January and March 2024, LearnOnOne leverages television, streaming and social media.
Marlize Horn, Capricorn Foundation’s Executive Officer, stressed their dedication to education and collaborative impact, while Stephan Hugo, LearnOnOne co-founder, hails the foundation's sponsorship as transformative, enabling continued support for Namibian learners.
Despite challenges, LearnOnOne pledges to assist government and private sector initiatives in aiding Namibian learners, as evidenced by the Ministry of Education's report citing 864 707 school learners in Namibia.
