Police calls for silence while scholars study
The Namibian police asked that residents be considerate towards pupils who will have to take their final exams earlier this year due to the election that will take place on 27 November.“It is necessary to ensure that pupils can study and concentrate in quiet environments and will be able to perform at their best,” Nampol spokesperson, Adj. Comm. Kauna Shikwambi said in a statement.
Members of the public were reminded to report all sales of alcohol to minors and parents were asked not to send their children to buy alcohol.
The organisers of large events have also been asked to limit loud music.
The public was also reminded, among other things that due to certain regulations, playing cards and dominoes are not allowed in public places such as parks and sidewalks.
