Dancing for Purrs a hit

Stefan Noechel
The first Dancing for Purrs event that took place in the capital over the weekend was a big hit.
The idea stems from a similar initiative in South Africa, "Dancers love dogs".
Locally however, the Triglav Trust was founded in Namibia by sisters Tanja and Ronja Lhys with the aim helping cats.
The so-called TNR Project (Trap Neuter Release) has, thanks to the support of the Have a Heart Project, already caught and sterilized over 23 000 cats across the country and either released them or found them a new home.
Together with the Snout Project, which actively and exclusively works for the "rehoming" of cats, these organisations hosted their first dance show for the benefit of the four-legged friends.
Various dance schools, including belly dancers, ballet and various modern dances put on a first-class show that thrilled the audience.
A solo singer rounded off the programme on a musical note.
The master of ceremonies Anne Mans promised the audience that the show would definitely be even bigger and better next year.
