DHPS celebrates 115 years

“Thank you for 115 years of DHPS”.
This was the theme of this year's DHPS Bazaar, which took place at the Deutsche Höhere Privatschule Windhoek campus on Thursday. And the theme was omnipresent: it could be felt, seen and experienced.
Again, the event was an incredible joint effort by the school community, learners, teachers and parents. Whether at the numerous fun and games stands - from traditional bull riding and a carousel to a pillow fight, tombola and darts or at the large selection of delicious food - visitors of all ages had a great time.
The huge flea market, the legendary cake stand and the well-stocked book cellar were not to be missed and showed that team spirit really does make the dream work. Many thanks for the delicious and generous donations!
Another highlight was the bazaar show, in which the musical, dancing, sporting and acrobatic talents of the DHPS learners took centre stage.
Above all, however, this year's event was marked by an unmistakably relaxed atmosphere.
Despite the amount of work that went into preparing and organising the DHPS bazaar, there was a great vibe that lasted late into the night. Even after the learners' stands had closed, the party was far from over. In the evening, Yola B. and the ÖK Beans set the mood with their great music.
All in all, it was a successful bazaar, thanks to the efforts of everyone involved.
And on that note: Thank you for 115 years, and for many more years to come!
