It’s a fashion extravaganza

The Wernhil Shopping Centre was a hive of activity last week, when they played host to a fashion show as part of their Fashion and Lifestyle Extravaganza Market.
The event was a celebration of proudly local lifestyle products, talent and entertainment with a special focus on the fashion Wernhil has to offer.
As part of the extravaganza, Wernhil clothing store tenants had their fashion worn on the runway by models from Diamond International Modelling Agency as well as some of their very own shop assistants who also received modelling coaching classes from the agency.
According to Sylvia Rusch, Head of Marketing and Public Relations (PR) of Wernhil’s letting agents, Broll Namibia, “The objective was to create a fashion show diverse not only in styles, but bodies too. No matter the shape, size or height, all bodies and personal styles are beautiful, and we wanted all our models to feel empowered on the runway. We also wanted to show shoppers the style possibilities they have to express themselves.”
One of the highlights included entrepreneur Nomvula taking to the runway in a special dress made of Top Score materials, designed by Cathy Tshikesho from Urban GLAM Designs CC and Top Score. An entire Top Score fashion line took to the runway too.
Among the models were Namibian model title holders: Annerie Maré (Miss World Namibia 2021), Anri Brynard (Role Model International 2019), Schwane Blignaut (Miss Teen Namibia 2019/2020), Dorothea Van Wyk (Miss Ability 2017/2018), Angela Ndapandula Ngondjodi (Miss Face of Namibia 2020), Kaino Jona (Miss Teen Africa Namibia 2021) and Kaylee Jacobs (Miss Teen Swakopmund 2022).
Along with the charisma of Master of Ceremonies, Courage the Comedian, entertainment for the day included singers Lin-Mari Coetzee (winner of Voice of Namibia 2021) and Jessica Strydom (Top 5 of Voice of Namibia 2021) and performers Ethnix Namibia and Courage the Comedian. Wernhil mascot, Jovi – designed by Wernhil shopper, Xamira Hangara in 2019 – also added to the day’s energy.
Crowning the festivities, ten loyal Wernhil shoppers received their share of a N$40 000 special prize.
The Wernhil Fashion and Lifestyle Extravaganza Market runs in the shopping centre until 2 October 2022.
