More support for Cancer Walk

“Dress warm, wacky and be bold about creating awareness for cancer. Because just as we don’t necessarily like this very cold winter, cancer becomes an unwelcome cold season in the lives of people around us too,” says Rolf Hansen, CEO of the Cancer Association of Namibia (CAN).
It’s time for the annual National Cancer Walk and this year a “winter edition” is hosted this Saturday, 1 July 2023, in various towns across Namibia.
“Pick n Pay Namibia commends CAN for its impact on the community and by supporting this event, we live our purpose of ‘Create a future and enhance lives’. Along with sponsoring 1 000 goodie bags, we wish all participants the best of luck,” says Rhodda Bessinger from Pick n Pay’s marketing department.
The cancer walk takes place in Windhoek, Rehoboth, Otjiwarongo, Outjo, Tsumeb, Walvis Bay and Swakopmund at N$70 per entry (N$50 for pensioners and scholars). Registration starts at 07:00 with the walk starting at 08:30.
