Rescheduled World Pangolin Day celebrated on Saturday

Namibia's World Pangolin Day celebration takes place on Saturday (15 March) in Windhoek. After the original date of the celebration on 15 February had to be postponed due to the mourning period for Namibia's founding father, Sam Nujoma, the Pangolin Conservation & Research Foundation is now hosting its annual day this weekend, celebrating the precious pangolin and raising awareness of its urgent need for conservation. The event will take place at Eagle's at the Avis Dam. The day will begin with a 5km run or walk. Music fans can enjoy live music by The Ells and a traditional performance by the PCRF's Pangolin Guardians. Activities for families include a bouncy castle, face painting and giveaways. According to the PCRF, the highlight will be an auction featuring stays at Our Habitas, Camp Doros by Ultimate Safaris, Gondwana accommodation, and a flight ticket from FlyNamibia to a destination of your choice. Tickets cost N$100 in advance, N$150 on-site, and N$75 for anyone under 18. In honour of St. Patrick's Day, the PCRF invites everyone to dress green for the day and receive stickers.
