Tapping toes for furry friends
The animal rescue service Triglav Trust hosts a dance “Dancing for Purrs” on 7 March at the Pionierspark NG Church. The aim is to raise funds for animals supported by the Triglav Trust, Snout Project, Have-a-Heart Namibia and Have-a-Heart Windhoek.
The event features performances by the Anchen Wille Dance Academy, the National Ballet School and Love to Shimmy, to name a few. Visitors will experience a variety of dance styles, all of which have their roots in Namibia.
Triglav explained: “We have made great progress in organising the event. We have secured the venue, sound and lighting equipment, artists and a presenter. Now we need to seek sponsors and donations to cover the costs involved and ensure that all proceeds from ticket sales can be fully used for the welfare of the animals, as well as additional donations for the needs of the organisations. We would appreciate any kind of support, be it in the form of cash or in kind.”
The organisation also seeks the participation of reputable dance schools and artists who are interested in contributing to the cause.
