Laimi Elago, the only Namibian among a team of 21 women, teamed up with Saray Khumalo, the first black African woman to conquer Mount Everest, for an extraordinary climb up Mount Kilimanjaro on South Africa's Women's Day, which fell on August 9th. This remarkable achievement was made possible through the support of Momentum Namibia.
This ascent served as an exciting prelude to the eagerly anticipated Womentum event, hosted by Momentum Namibia and taking place on Saturday (9 September), at Droombos, this event promises a morning filled with inspiration, empowerment, and a touch of luxury.
Denille Roostee, Group Executive of Marketing at Momentum Metropolitan Group, said: "The Womentum event is not just another gathering; it's a uniquely designed experience that aligns deeply with the empowering and transformational messages championed by remarkable women like Saray Khumalo and Laimi Elago. Our goal is to create an environment where every attendee leaves feeling inspired to overcome their own personal challenges."
The event features a panel of accomplished speakers from South Africa and Namibia. These are women who have wholeheartedly embraced the campaign's tagline, making strides and claiming their successes. Among them are Saray Khumalo, Laimi Elago, Estelle Tjipuka, Ronel de Beer, Carina Bruwer, Stacey Susa-Pinto, and Desèré Lundon-Muller.
Attendees can look forward to an enriching morning at Droombos, filled with motivational talks, engaging entertainment, and a special token of appreciation—each guest will receive a Womentum gift box as a keepsake.
Tickets for this unmissable event are available for N$500 per ticket through https://eticket.my.na/, which includes a sumptuous breakfast.
