Professional hunter: Pieter Delport

Pieter Delport is a professional hunter in Namibia whose skills are of a standard that few are able to meet. He is also an ardent collector of trophies, and only a few rare southern African trophies have eluded the sights of his telescope or compound bow.
Delport was born and raised on the family farm near the Witvlei area. He and his three siblings attended boarding school in the neighbouring town of Gobabis until he turned 16, after which he continued his education in Clanwilliam, South Africa.
Delport completed a hunting internship at Hunters Unlimited South Africa in 1998, where he also met his wife and soon convinced her to move with him to Namibia.
Variety on offer
They founded Eintracht Jagd Safaris in 2000.
The farm is situated in a hunting area covering 25 000 hectares of pristine wilderness, densely populated by a variety of indigenous free-ranging Namibian game. Exotic animals are available on request.
As many international clients can attest, record trophies are the order of the day during a hunting experience with Delport.
A variety of game birds are also available to wing-shooting enthusiasts or just for viewing by bird watching connoisseurs.
With Eintracht Jagd Safaris celebrating its 25th year in the industry next year, the business will continue to flourish with the introduction of Delport's eldest son, Danie, as a professional hunter on the team.
