Gyneacological care at Groot Aub
Mobile obstetrics course organised in cooperation with the ob-gyn practice.
The #BeFree Cares Clinic, in collaboration with the ob-gyn practice, held a mobile clinic at Groot Aub last week, aimed at providing specialised obstetric and gynaecological care to women in the community free of charge. Seventy-one consultations and ultrasound examinations, as well as 27 Pap smears, were performed.
The doctors educated the women on various aspects of reproductive health and empowered them to make informed and responsible decisions for their health and well-being.
According to BeFree Cares Clinic Manager Rachel Iyambo, there are no medical specialists in the settlement and she noted an increasing trend in teenage pregnancies in the area.
Dr David Emvula of the ob-gyn practice said the clinic also served as a platform for knowledge sharing. "The medical staff at the Groot Aub Clinic are now better able to assess cases related to reproductive health.
