The 2023 edition of the Annual Medical Congress came to a close on Saturday, with Nedbank Namibia and the Medical Association of Namibia (MAN) once again joining forces for this remarkable event.
Over the course of two days, more than 250 healthcare professionals, leading experts, and prominent researchers from Namibia and beyond gathered to promote collaboration, exchange knowledge, and drive progress in the field of medicine.
Under the theme “Medicine TODAY into TOMORROW”, the congress sparked thought-provoking discussions and debates on various critical issues affecting the medical community. With a line-up of more than 20 engaging sessions, attendees were treated to groundbreaking presentations such as “Hereditary cancer genetics 101” by Dr Maureen Conradie and Robyn Barlow, and “Gender diversity – supporting gender-diverse youth” by Dr Simon Pickstone-Taylor.
The congress provided an enlightening platform for participants, focusing not only on the present challenges in healthcare but also shedding light on the future of medicine by combining clinical expertise with forward-thinking strategies. The comprehensive sessions offered valuable insights to healthcare professionals, empowering them to implement effective practices in their respective fields.
