Take hands for palliative care
On 12 October, Palliative Care Namibia and the Cancer Association of Namibia will join the global community in commemorating World Hospice and Palliative Care Day. While palliative care isn't something new, it is a caring discipline that needs much more attention in Namibia.In light of this, Palliative Care Namibia, CAN and all hospice and palliative care units in Namibia, urge citizens to recognise the importance of this specialised care that is offered.
Along with this, awareness about pain management, and the importance of quality of life from the moment of a life-changing diagnosis through treatment and end-of-life care should be created.
