Progress continues on airport road

The Roads Authority warned the public about the new temporary traffic deviation on the Windhoek-Hosea Kutako International Airport Road upgrade project, starting on Thursday (17 October 2024).
The affected area starts 3 km east of the current temporary airport turnoff and 0.4 kilometres west of the M51 road turnoff. The deviation will channel traffic around the construction site and will be in effect until July 2025.
Road signs have been installed to guide motorists through the temporary routes. Thus, travellers are advised to allow for an extra five minutes of travel time, when planning their trips along this route to avoid delays.
Finally, motorists are advised to adhere to the speed limits and exercise caution when travelling in the construction area.
