Chefs lighting up the kitchen

As from today and until Saturday, the annual Namibian Chefs Association (NamChefs) Chef of the Year competition takes place at the NUST Hotel School's Training Kitchen.
The competition provides both established and upcoming chefs a chance to compete for the title of Chef of the Year across various categories. Furthermore, the competition not only highlights local culinary talent but also aids in the identification of a national team to represent the country at international competitions.
Additionally, the competition showcases local products through the dishes presented by participants.
The competition consists of three categories, with a first, second and third place in each:
Schools; Junior Chefs (chefs with less than five years of experience in a professional kitchen); and Senior Chefs (chefs with more than 5 years of experience in a professional kitchen).
The winners will be announced at a prizegiving taking place on Saturday at the Maerua Mall Rooftop at 16:00.
