Ineos Grenadier partners with M+Z
Ineos Automotive has signed an agreement with Metje + Ziegler as its official retail partner in Namibia. The country now joins South Africa, Kenya and Tanzania in the stable’s growing sales footprint in Sub-Saharan Africa.“Securing M+Z as our official partners in Namibia is first prize for us,” says Tim Abbott, Ineos Automotive Head of Region South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa. “Our strategy worldwide is to identify sales and service partners who know their region and customers, and who have a reputation for service excellence. M+Z ticks all the boxes and more, and we are confident that they will help us grow the Ineos Grenadier brand in Namibia.”
By the end of 2022 Ineos Automotive plans to have a network of more than 200 sales and service sites for the Grenadier spanning over 50 countries, including established dealer groups, 4X4 specialists and agricultural equipment dealers.
In Sub-Saharan Africa, Ineos Automotive is in the process of confirming partners for at least five more countries in the region. These will be announced as they come onboard.
M+Z is a well-known automotive group in Namibia with local roots going back over 100 years. It is one of the most-respected automotive retail companies in the country with a long list of established automotive brands in its portfolio.
Jumping at the chance
Ekko Eisenberg, M+Z Managing Director, said: “We immediately jumped at the opportunity to partner with Ineos Automotive. We know Namibia well, and from the start it was clear that the Ineos Grenadier is built for terrain like ours. We look forward to getting our first vehicles and showing our customers just how capable this amazing new off-roader is. It’s an exciting time for us.”
Over the next few months M+Z will be preparing their new Ineos Grenadier showroom in Windhoek for the arrival of demonstrator vehicles in November this year. The first deliveries to Namibian customers are due to start in January 2023.
Servicing will be conducted in M+Z’s workshop in Windhoek and other selected points in their network across Namibia.
