German support for Have A Heart
The Uli Stein Foundation from Germany has given the Have a Heart Namibia animal welfare organisation a helping hand with a donation that will make the next castration day possible.“Last year the team at the Beukes Animal Clinic in Gobabis started neutering days in four smaller villages in eastern Namibia. The team provides all-important neutering and treatment for sick or injured animals in four locations where veterinary care is otherwise unavailable. Such an outreach takes place once a month and each village is visited every four months. Through this routine, the veterinarians have earned the trust of the owners and can give the animals valuable help," the Uli Stein Foundation said on social media.
“A castration, vaccination and parasite treatment costs Have a Heart €35 per animal. On an average day, the vets operate and treat around 15-20 animals. We have helped the association with a financial donation that makes it possible to neuter and treat some animals.” Photos: Have A Heart Namibia
