Ongos Valley, just a short drive from Windhoek, is home to a unique retreat: ABG's AirBnBs, owned by Abigael Kondo. With a background in real estate, Kondo’s journey from a real estate certificate to owning and managing two AirBnB properties reflects a keen understanding of market demands and a passion for creating memorable stays.
Her love for business and real estate has guided her career, but it is her venture into AirBnBs that captures her enthusiasm. "I started off with a real estate certificate, and I felt like I needed to get into property because of the market and the high demand," she explained. Her properties are strategically located about seven kilometres outside Windhoek, nestled in the serene Ongos Valley.
"Our AirBnBs offer a home away from home experience - quiet, slightly off the beaten path, with stunning mountain views and flowing rivers."
ABG's AirBnBs stand out not only for their strategic location, but also for their unique appeal. The properties offer breathtaking views, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a national park. This seclusion provides guests with a peaceful retreat, far from the noise of urban life.

Importance of adaptability
The acquisition process for property in Ongos Valley is straightforward, according to Kondo.
"Ongos Valley is a new development with various options for acquiring property. You simply submit your documentation for evaluation, and based on that, you follow the process that aligns with your qualifications."
What sets ABG's AirBnBs apart is their blend of comfort and convenience. The two properties, fully furnished and equipped with modern amenities, cater to diverse needs. The one-bedroom unit features two double beds, a sofa, a smart TV and a mini kitchen, while the two-bedroom property boasts a balcony with a stunning mountain view, a spacious living room and a fully equipped kitchen. Both accommodations are secured with alarm systems to ensure guest safety.
Kondo emphasised the importance of adaptability in her business model. "We offer transportation services and have a driver who picks up clients from designated points due to our location's distance from the city. We also run promotional rates during the off-season to attract guests when bookings are slower."
In an era where personalised experiences are highly sought after, ABG's AirBnBs in Ongos Valley stand out as havens for those seeking tranquility and comfort. With their strategic location, attentive services and a commitment to providing a unique stay, they set a high standard for short-term accommodation.
