The 2024 Bank Windhoek Vehicle Asset Finance Northern Selekt Sales Awards ceremony, recently hosted in Oshakati, recognised the passion of automotive salespeople and dealerships
in Northern Namibia.

In 2024, Award recipients embraced challenges, adapted to changing market dynamics, and introduced solutions to redefine financing and vehicle asset management. Delivering the keynote address at the event, Bank Windhoek’s Regional Manager for the Far North, Elisse Mire Christof, said the contributions of salespeople drive this sector’s success, making vehicle ownership and fleet expansion possible for countless individuals and businesses.

“With your support, Bank Windhoek has shown stability, indicating strong and consistent performance. Bank Windhoek has demonstrated its dedication to supporting the motoring
industry market in Northern Namibia,” she said.

Christof announced that in 2024, Bank Windhoek financed 186 vehicles in the region, totalling approximately N$13 million. Additionally, she said, “The Far North’s Vehicle Financing books
grew by a whopping 111% on its Year-On-Year growth in value. These numbers comprise 66% new vehicle sales and 34% used vehicle sales compared to the previous Financial Year.”

She concluded that the landscape of vehicle asset financing continues to evolve and that agility, innovation, and a commitment to responsible funding that benefits customers and communities
should remain a priority.

The top salesperson in the northern region who was awarded a Gold award was Indongo Toyota Ongwediva Sales Executive Nikanor Shindombo. He said that after receiving this award in the
previous year, it has become a good habit to be a top achiever.

“We enjoy the strong relationship between Indongo Toyota Ongwediva and Bank Windhoek. Business is peaking in Northern Namibia with positive results. We expect more business within the automotive market, which looks very promising,” he said.

The top salesperson in the northern region who was awarded a Bronze award was Pupkewitz Volkswagen North Sales Executive Peter Naujoma. He said that although sales in 2024 were
challenging to close, he met his client’s needs. “With access to various branches in the North, Bank Windhoek’s efforts to assist us have been superb for vehicle financing.”

Naujoma looks forward to a positive career in vehicle financing in 2025 while seeking to assist his clients as best as possible.
