Professional road cyclist and two-time Namibian Olympian Dan Craven on Thursday opened a unique pop-up shop at Bellhaus Atelier & Galerie to showcase his bicycle brand, Onguza.
The gallery will be open daily from 08:30 to 12:30 until Sunday, 22 October, and will showcase the brand’s world-class, race-winning bicycles - handcrafted in Omaruru.
The pop-up will take place alongside an immersive brand experience with a café in collaboration with Two Beards Coffee, with limited-edition merchandise and cycling kits available from Rapha and Pas Normal.
Over the course of the 10-day exhibition, a series of captivating events are scheduled. The festivities kicked off with an opening party on Thursday.
The mornings will feature invigorating coffee rides with Craven himself, offering enthusiasts a chance to pedal alongside a true champion.
Moreover, Bellhaus will present two ‘Art Supper Clubs’, where delectable Namibian cuisine inspired by the local landscape and culinary traditions will be served.
Throughout the week, Onguza's creative director Collyn Ahart will impart her expertise in a workshop titled ‘From Omaruru to the World: How to build a world-famous brand from the Namibian desert’. The event is tailor-made for entrepreneurs, students, designers, and those with ambitious creative aspirations.
The pop-up's opening was attended by prominent figures in sport and politics, including vice-president Nangolo Mbumba.
