The EduVentures Trust, an initiative of the National Museum of Namibia, opened its climate change exhibition at the Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre (FNCC) on Thursday, 27 June. This exhibition features a mobile classroom and interactive panels on climate change, aiming to bolster environmental education and promote sustainable development. Highlights include informative videos on nationally determined contributions (NDCs) and an engaging 30-second climate change game.
The event drew notable attendees, including dignitaries from the environment ministry and the Museum Association of Namibia, as well as European Union (EU) ambassador Ana Beatriz Martins.
This initiative is part of the ministry’s ‘Climate Change and Inclusive Use of Natural Resources’ project. Funded by the EU's Global Climate Change Alliance initiative and Germany's federal ministry for economic cooperation and development, the project seeks to foster knowledge transfer and awareness through innovative communication strategies. EduVentures has been pivotal in fulfilling this mandate, creating engaging content to support communities in becoming more environmentally conscious.
The exhibition showcases outcomes and initiatives developed throughout the grant period of this partnership, reflecting the trust's commitment to promoting environmental stewardship.
