Open Season's August edition: A Retro Ball to remember

MICHAEL KAYUNDE
Namibian party-goers were transported back in time at the August edition of Open Season, a daytime hang-out event hosted by Dream Believe Succeed in partnership with Namibian Sun. Held at Namibia Media Holdings on General Murtala Muhammed Avenue in Eros, the doors opened at 13:00, and the festivities lasted until 21:00, providing an unforgettable experience for all attendees.
The theme of the event, Retro Ball, inspired fashion enthusiasts to turn heads by embracing vintage clothing. The venue was awash with colourful outfits, flared pants, bell-bottoms and classic dresses, evoking the glitz and glamour of past eras. The stylish atmosphere set the perfect stage for the excitement that unfolded throughout the day.
The heart of the event was undoubtedly the incredible DJ line-up, boasting some of Namibia's finest talents. Dreas, Sxdated, Morenga, Imbuwa, YD Fresh and Silas The Dandy graced the turntables, each delivering an exceptional performance that perfectly complemented the party's theme. Attendees were seen grooving and swaying to the retro beats, relishing every moment on the dance floor.
The crowd's enthusiasm was further fuelled by the impressive drink and food offerings provided by Homies and Friends and Future Fresh. Homies and Friends served up the best gin cocktails, refreshing revellers as they danced the day away. Meanwhile, Future Fresh tantalised taste buds with delectable dishes, ensuring that party-goers were well-fed and energised throughout the event.
Open Season and Namibian Sun made sure no memorable moment went undocumented. Those who could not attend in person did not miss out, as the organisers shared highlights on Instagram.
