A successful soup kitchen

Sunday, 18 February, marked the inaugural soup kitchen event of the year for the Deutsche Höhere Privatschule Windhoek (DHPS) Interact Club.
The club is a long-term project aimed at community outreach and support. With a new team in place and an influx of eager helpers, the soup kitchen event was set to make a significant impact. The DHPS Interact Club has been dedicated to serving the community, and this event was no exception. Beyond merely providing meals, the club recognises the importance of socialising with the children and fostering a positive atmosphere.
With the collaboration of volunteers and organisers of the Katutura Kids Soup Kitchen, the day surpassed expectations. The aroma of delicious soup filled the air as volunteers worked tirelessly to ensure that every child left with a full stomach and a smile on their face.
"This event is more than just providing food," Mr Prey, one of the club mentors, said. "It's about building relationships and creating a sense of belonging for these children."
The success of the soup kitchen underscores the commitment of the DHPS Interact Club to making a tangible difference in the lives of those they serve. As they look ahead to future projects, they remain steadfast in their dedication to fostering a stronger, more compassionate community.
