Enter the world of the Mathematics Club at Ella Du Plessis High School, where 40 members led by Inomuinjo Kapimbi and Josephine Nuulimba are igniting a passion for math.
Since its founding earlier this year, the club has hosted engaging activities and workshops, fostering not only mathematical skills but also critical thinking. With its inclusive approach and outreach programmes, including a partnership with Kumon, the club is making math accessible and enjoyable for all, shaping the future – one equation at a time.
Situated within the halls of Ella Du Plessis High School are a dynamic group of students who share a common passion for mathematics. This is the Mathematics Club, a thriving community that has grown from 20 to 40 members since its inception. Led by the visionary leadership of Grade 10 learners Kapimbi and Nuulimba, this club has quickly become a hub of mathematical exploration and discovery.

Something for everyone
Founded in February this year, the Mathematics Club has wasted no time in making its mark on the school.
One of the key strengths of the Mathematics Club lies in its diversity. With members from various grade levels and mathematical backgrounds, the club offers something for everyone. Whether you’re a seasoned mathlete looking for a new challenge or a novice eager to learn more, the Mathematics Club welcomes you with open arms.
But the club’s impact goes beyond just its members. Through its outreach programmes and community initiatives, the Mathematics Club is spreading its love for mathematics to the wider school community. From tutoring sessions to math-themed events, the club is dedicated to making mathematics accessible and enjoyable for all.
Central to the club’s success is its alliance with Kumon, a renowned educational programme that shares the club’s commitment to excellence in mathematics. Through this partnership, club members have access to a wealth of resources and expertise that further enrich their mathematical journey.
As the Mathematics Club continues to grow and evolve, one thing is clear: its impact on the school and its students is profound. By inspiring a love for mathematics and nurturing the minds of tomorrow’s mathematicians, the Mathematics Club at Ella Du Plessis High School is truly shaping the future, one equation at a time.
