GIPF urges beneficiaries to provide proof of enrolment
The Government Institutions Pension Fund (GIPF) has urged young annuitants to submit their proof enrolment at their nearest GIPF office on time to avoid any delays in the processing of their benefits."The fund welcomes back all students from a well-deserved break. GIPF is committed to delivering the highest quality services, and one of the key components of the fund’s corporate strategy is to ensure that its members are well informed, and aware of their benefits. Having said that, this is the time of the year again where GIPF implores all beneficiaries who are students and are between the ages of 18 and 25 to submit their signed proof of studentship timeously," general manager of marketing and communications, Edwin Tjiramba, said in a statement.
"Kindly note that only authorised signatories - principals, faculty officers, rectors, directors, branch coordinators and heads of department, or anyone acting in that capacity - from the respective schools or institutions of higher education are allowed to sign the studentship letters. If a student took a break in his/her studies due to any unforeseen circumstances, then he/she should submit proof of studentship for payment of benefits to continue until they turn 25," he added.
