Motivated to fight poverty and unemployment
Youth entrepreneur determined to reach goals
Sakaria Kamati is a graduate of a vocational training centre (VTC) who enjoys being a multi-business owner.Kamati started his first business in 2008 at the age of 16 while still in grade 10.
After a few months, he established Kamaty Worldwide Trading, his second business venture. Since then, he has continued to expand his business enterprises.
Throughout the years of running businesses, he has come to understand that people are willing to pay for value, and he has since made it his goal to provide value.
The young entrepreneur said he was motivated to open companies in order to create jobs, fight poverty, and create better living standards for fellow Namibians.
"I started my businesses to eradicate poverty and unemployment in the county. I became a chief operating officer (CEO) at a young age and never looked back," he said.
Providing assistance
He said he enjoys negotiating deals and creating advertising.
Kamati now operates a car dealership named Best Guy in Town, and runs a real estate company, Kamaty Properties.
Kamaty Properties involves selling properties, completing pre-approval of properties for clients, and selling properties in the 14 regions of Namibia.
"I love working for my company. We serve a lot of clients and assist our clients from the first step of buying property to full ownership," he said.
Kamati aspires to be counted among the top real estate agents in the country.
Positive outlook
Kamati said his businesses were economically affected by Covid-19, and it has not been easy to endure the challenges. However, he said he remains motivated to continue with a positive mindset.
He is passionate about business and wants to help others overcome their fears of starting a business.
"The Business and Intellectual Property Authority and the Namibia Revenue Agency are open to those who want to start a business. Companies and the government recruit daily," he said.
