Ndeshihafela Ndivayele’s vision for sustainable mining and energy solutions

Ndeshihafela Ndivayele is the founder of NABO Innovations, a multinational engineering-tech start-up focused on sustainable solutions within the mining and energy sectors.Ndivayele also serves as a strategic advisory board member and Africa Global co-lead at the Women in Green Hydrogen (WiGH) global network.
With a background in a diplomatic upbringing, she says she "brings a unique perspective and proficiency in six languages to her professional endeavours".
Founded in November 2021, NABO Innovations has grown into a key player in the mining sector, with its headquarters in Namibia and branches in Botswana and Mozambique.
Born in Namibia, Ndivayele moved with her family to Brazil at the age of six. She completed elementary school and commenced junior high school there before returning to Namibia at the start of high school. In the middle of Grade 11, she moved to London, England, where she completed her A-Levels, before returning to Namibia in 2017 to commence her tertiary education.
As the founder of NABO Innovations, Ndivayele leads a multinational engineering-tech start-up recognised for innovative solutions addressing sustainable development goals.
Ndivayele says she has “learned that sustainability must be integrated at every stage of resource development to create lasting impact”, she says.
She has worked on key projects such as the Kokoseb Gold Project in Okombahe, the Salt Mining Project in Cape Cross and the Copper Exploration Project in Opuwo, all under Epangelo Mining Company.
NABO Innovations has worked on the Underground Mine High-Tech Ventilation Innovation – Namibia and Botswana project.
Creative innovator
In addition to her passion for engineering and technology, Ndivayele is also a passionate artist.
As a recording artist, she performs under the stage name Ndeshi Way, blending various music genres as a singer and songwriter. She describes music as an integral part of her identity.
She encourages young women to be fearless in pursuing their dreams and never let anyone limit their potential.
“There is space for you in any industry you choose to conquer,” she said.
