Janny urges youth to take charge of their destiny
Namibian youth often face challenges due to a lack of knowledge and mentorship, particularly in fields they aspire to grow in. While resources exist, many are outdated and do not address the modern era's unique challenges.Janny David, an author and entrepreneur, aims to fill this gap with her new book, How to Make Your First Million in the Real Estate Market. This guide focuses on helping young people navigate the real estate market with the right mindset.
Janny holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science in Software Development and has thrived as a real estate agent, supported by reputable mentors. She successfully launched her own real estate agency, generating over N$1 million in rental income and N$15 million in developments, providing million-dollar clientele profiles to banks like First National Bank, Bank Windhoek, and First Capital in Home Loans.
Her book is particularly targeted at Namibian youth interested in real estate, offering them a roadmap to success. “Many people think it’s an overnight success with quick money. But real estate is about strategy: it’s 95% mindset, 3% strategy, and 2% hard work,” she explains. Janny’s book provides strategic principles and techniques that helped her make her first million.
The idea for the book came from a conversation with a young woman who encouraged Janny to share her knowledge on a larger platform. Janny hopes the book will inspire readers to pursue their dreams confidently. “Your dream is possible if you focus, plan, and execute it. The sky is the limit,” she says.
Beyond her book, Janny offers consultation services for real estate agents, homeowners, and tenants, covering market trends, property valuation, and investment guidance. She is passionate about empowering youth to take charge of their destinies: “No one is coming to save you. Take hold of your destiny and choose your own life.”
