Makuchete heads up channels and payments
With over 14 years of experience in the IT industry and seven years in the banking sector, Steve Makuchete has been appointed as the Head of Channels and Payments at Letshego Holdings Namibia.In this role, Makuchete will lead the development and implementation of Letshego’s channels and payments strategy, focused on enhancing the digital banking experience for its customers across Namibia.
“I am excited to join Letshego Namibia and apply my experience in digital transformation to further elevate our banking services,” said Makuchete. “My goal is to leverage digital solutions to make banking more accessible and convenient for our customers while streamlining our internal processes.”
Makuchete holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems and a postgraduate degree in Information Systems Audit from the Namibian University of Science and Technology. He brings extensive expertise in digital transformation, IT consultancy, and business analysis. His previous achievements include leading key initiatives, such as the successful deployment of an enhanced electronic funds transfer system.
As the new Head of Channels and Payments, Makuchete aims to strengthen Letshego’s core banking systems, enhance customer experiences, and contribute to greater operational efficiency.
