Miss Namibia Prisca Anyolo unveiled a second version of her national costume for the Miss Universe pageant.
"The national costume, inspired by the clothing of the people in Northern Namibia, combines cultural heritage with modern elegance. The Odelela fabric with its luminous red, blue and pink stripes reflects Namibian artistry and versatility," the Miss Namibia Organisation said.
Glimmering cream and gold fabric, which symbolise the dunes and the Khoisan, add extra elegance.
"Accessories like Prisca's lantern earrings symbolise the Namibian sunlight, and a basket crown made from Makalani palm leaves celebrates the braiding tradition of the Zambezi, Kavango and Aawambo peoples as a symbol for the cultural pride and identity of Namibia on the global stage."
