NamPol announces promotions

A number of staff changes were announced by the Inspector-General of the Namibian Police Force.
First off, Erongo Regional Commander, Commissioner Andreas Nelumbu, has been appointed as the police attaché to Luanda (Angola), replacing Commissioner Nicholas Endjala, who retired.
Then, Khomas regional crime coordinator Deputy Commissioner Nikolaus Kupembona has been promoted to a Commissioner rank and appointed as the Erongo Police Regional Commander.
Comm. Kupembona joined NamPol in 1994 and progressed in rank throughout. He served the force in various fields and is an experienced Detective / Investigation Officer who not only successfully investigated cases locally, but also earned recognition internationally.
He holds a degree in policing as well as various investigation-related certificates obtained locally and internationally. He also served in the Peacekeeping Support Mission in the Kingdom of Lesotho.
Deputy Commissioner Chrispin Mubebo has been transferred from the //Kharas region to serve as the new Khomas regional crime coordinator, to replace Comm. Kupembona. Finally, Chief Inspector Nicodemus Mbango, a staff officer in the Otjozondjupa crime coordinator's office, has been appointed as the //Kharas regional crime coordinator and has been promoted to the rank of Deputy Commissioner.
These changes are effective as from 1 June 2022.
