O&L Nexentury breaks ground for floating PV project
The groundbreaking ceremony for the Philippsee floating photovoltaic (PV) project in Bad Schönborn, Germany, was announced by the Ohlthaver & List (O&L) Group.Through O&L Europe SE, the German Holding company of OLFITRA, O&L has made a significant investment, signalling a major step forward in sustainable energy development in Europe and reaffirming their commitment to environmental stewardship, social inclusion, and economic growth.
With a workforce exceeding 5 500 employees and a legacy dating back to 1919, O&L has consistently been at the forefront of various industries, emphasizing sustainable practices and contributing meaningfully to society and the environment.
Sven Thieme, Executive Chairman of O&L, expressed his pride in the milestone achieved, emphasising the collaborative effort with partners and co-investors in celebrating the groundbreaking of what is poised to become Germany's largest floating solar park.
He highlighted the project's embodiment of innovation and sustainability, reflecting O&L's values of authenticity, care, and passion.
