The BeFree Youth Campus held its 9th annual fundraising event last week, raising a whopping N$4.5 million.
President Nangolo Mbumba and Executive Chairperson of One Economy Foundation, Monica Geingos, attended the event.
“In Phase 2 of #BeFree Youth Campus, we plan to build a Skill-Up Lab where entrepreneurial and practical skills will pave the way for meaningful careers - a step towards youth empowerment,” BeFree said.
In her remarks, Geingos expressed gratitude for the support One Economy Foundation has received so far. She said that through this support, over 4 600 members and over 33 000 young people have been reached through programmes, services and outreaches.
“With this money we can fulfill our mandate to remove the barriers that hold youth back from their potential.”
