SPCA’s Mutt-Strutt a huge success

Garage sale next month
The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or the SPCA held its 3rd annual Mutt-Strutt last weekend, where a mega pack of dogs, their humans and carers walked together for the love of their animals.
A total of 98 dogs and 104 humans walked to raise awareness and funds for the animals at the SPCA. Not only that – all 41 dogs available for adoption at the SPCA and able to walk on a leash got to go for a FUN walk (worry not - we have lots of puppies who are available for adoption too, they just haven't gotten the leash walking down quite yet....)!
If you have a closer look, you’ll see the yellow 'Adopt Me' bandanas on some of the pups. The SPCA loves the gift ENSafrica put together for the adoptable dogs. ENSafrica believes in the importance of animal welfare, and that is why they donated a total of N$50 000 towards the SPCA of which N$30 000 is in legal fees, N$10 000 in funds, and the rest towards the 'Adopt Me' bandanas! Talk about taking a stand for the animals!
And the dogs walking? They loved the goodie bags sponsored by Hill's and Bravecto, and a little treat bag sponsored by the SPCA's Chairperson and family. This was all made possible thanks to Eagles and Greenspace for sponsoring the meeting point and the walking grounds!
In other news, the SPCA hosts a garage sale at their premises at 145 Robert Mugabe Avenue in Windhoek on Saturday 8 October 2022 from 09:00 to 13:00, and they're calling on supporters and the general public to donate their stuff! So, if you have stuff to get rid of, the SPCA will gladly take it of your hands. The drop off deadline is Thursday 6 October at 17:00, but if you can't drop items off yourself, you can contact the SPCA team on 061 238 645 to make other arrangements.
