Wheels ready for Karibib bike race
Thanks to a welcome sponsorship, the wheels are greased for the Karibib bike race, which aims to support the pupils of the Dagbreek School in Windhoek by renovating their facilities.Indongo Toyota is sponsoring the vehicles for the bicycle race on 6 July, which is hosted by the Top Gear cycling club in collaboration with Dagbreek and will become an annual institution.
The bike race covers a challenging route from Karibib to Wilhelmstal/Kwetu and varies from 100 and 60 km to 30 km. Companies and groups can also participate in the 5 km mountain bike relay, with all money raised going towards the construction of six new classrooms at Dagbreek.
The construction of the classrooms is estimated at around N$4 million and the hope is to complete it within three years. For young children there is a 2.5 km fun run.
