Food Waste Challenge entries closing soon
The Capricorn Foundation is looking for a business that will bring awareness to food waste and hunger challenges in Namibia, while also creating job opportunities and inspiring the nation.

Entries for the second phase of the Capricorn Foundation Food Waste Challenge is nearing, with business who needs to get their proposals ready by 22 May.
“With last year’s challenge, we received many ideas to apply creating thinking to solving this issue in Namibia,” says Rikus Grobler, Innovations Manager at Capricorn Foundation.
“While we were looking for ideas last year, we are now moving forward by look for businesses to address the issue food waste, because we saw many entrepreneurs are already doing good in that space.”
More than 150 people have already registered to enter the challenge while more than 70 proposals already in progress. “We believe we will reach the same numbers than last year and that is great knowing so many businesses are trying to make a difference.”
The winner will walk away with a cash prize of N$100 000, together with a marketing package from Synergi.
