Wear jeans for MS

Multiple Sclerosis Namibia (MS Namibia) hosts their annual Employee Jeans for Hope Day on Friday 28 July 2023.
Last year, the event raised a combined amount of around N$10 000 through their passionate corporate companies/sponsors “and we can’t wait to raise even more this year!” says MS Namibia founder and project manager Bianca Özcan.
“We were able to raise the much-needed awareness amongst Namibians, but have to continue doing so,” she says. “This year we hope to raise even more, but we need your help to reach our goals.”
To help the event run smoothly, MS Namibia needs businesses to give their permission to employees to wear jeans to work on the day and contribute a minimum of N$10 each.
“Should your company and employees be willing to sponsor our event by donating the minimum fee, time and excitement to raise awareness for MS, please use #MSCONNECTIONS on social media handles when posting your lovely photos in jeans. We are also available to do talks about MS at your request,” Bianca says.
She adds that the MS awareness colour is orange if you want to spice up your outfit.
Multiple Sclerosis is a rare disease, meaning 1 in 3000 people has it, giving more reason to fight for early diagnoses to prolong lives. Multiple Sclerosis Namibia (WO 293) is a non-profit organisation established by an MS patient in 2007.
“Our organisation faces many challenges ranging from access to treatment, the need for wheelchairs, supplements, medical dispensaries and organisational costs, hence your financial support will help us to cover some of these costs.”
