All set for Harders Cup

Founder of the Harders Cup Tim Ekandjo is inviting all Namibians to go and witness the annual Harders Cup tournament.
The tournament kicks off this weekend at the town of Lüderitz as teams from the south compete for bragging rights and prize monies.
“This is one of the biggest football tournaments in the country and I must say that all is set for the competition to kick off.
“I want to invite the football loving fans to come in their numbers and witness the cream of local football.
“The tournament can also serve as a platform for scouts to come through and find the best talent,” Ekandjo said.
The event which started out as a Lüderitz based soccer tournament has now grown regional with 20 teams from the southern stream competing.
The prize monies has been doubled making it the third biggest event in Namibia with N$420,000 in prize monies.
The winner will receive N$200,000, silver medallist N$100,000, bronze N$50,000 and fourth place N$30,000 while the Top Goal Scorer and Player of the Tournament will each receive a cool N$20,000.
All teams will receive a brand new kit. The Harders Cup will also give one deserving student a bursary every year.
As usual the event will conclude with the much anticipated Harders Music Bash that will see over 10 artist on stage.
The fourth edition of the tournament commences today and will continue until Sunday Cup is now confirmed from Fri, 20th to Sunday, 22nd Sept 2024.
This years event will be delivered at a total budget of N$1.7 million.
A gala dinner held earlier raised an amount of N$320 000 in pledges with its Founder Tim Ekandjo and Debmarine each pledging N$100,000 followed by Seaflower and Namdeb with N$50,000 each and the Mayoral Fund and Naftal Trading each N$10,000.
