Desert Storm looks to the future

Friday night’s international lightweight clash between Namibia’s Sakaria ‘Desert Storm’ Lukas and Issa Phiri of Zimbabwe ended in the Namibian's favour.
The six-rounder was an exciting fight, allowing Lukas to dominate the little known Zimbabwean, as he was dropped twice in the fourth and fifth rounds.
Speaking from Gaborone after the fight, Lukas said the game plan was to push hard and get a win. He, however, added that he faced a tough opponent in Phiri.
“He was a competitive opponent. Not everyone comes to survive, everyone comes to fight."
Looking to future prospects, Lukas said he will head back to the gym and see how it goes.
The fight was one of the undercards for the Botswana super bantamweight national title bout between Onkarabile Mothibedi and Tefo Letshikgwane, which the latter won.
