Outspoken football pundit Jefta Gaoab has continued to spit venom towards what he calls an "inconsistent" Namibia Premiership administration.
Just last week Gaoab questioned the NFA's leadership on the strategies being implemented for promotion and relegation.
He again this week blasted the association’s leadership for being reluctant on issues pertaining the association.
"I am writing to formally express my concern pertaining to the inconsistencies and misinterpretations of the rules governing the method to be used to promote and relegate clubs to and from different NFA leagues.
"I believe that these issues are undermining the integrity of our football competitions and eroding the trust that clubs, players and fans place in the governing body of the NFA,” Gaoab said.
He feels such issues, if left unattended, will continue to damage the credibility of the leagues and NFA.
He urges the Football Council to review its stance on rules governing promotion and relegation and ensure that they are interpreted correctly and applied consistently.
“Cease these deceptive maneuvers and underhanded tactics and adhere to the established rules and regulations.
“Your antics are tarnishing the reputation of football in an effort to satisfy those who elected you. It has become abundantly clear that your intentions are not aligned with the interests of football, but rather serve to bolster your own egos at the sport's expense. For the betterment of football, I urge you to address the chaos you have instigated, as it will not bode well for the future.”
Gaoab reckons much needs to be done in an honest manner for Namibian football to avoid a systemic collapse.
He feels the same way football came to a standstill a few years ago, could end up repeated at the same level.
“Furthermore, there have been alterations to the second division regional play-offs to restrict the available spots to just one, thereby accommodating the relegated team. I am eager to understand the reasoning and logic behind this controversial decision. What distinguishes Ongwediva City FC from others? This is not an isolated incident, as we have seen similar situations in the past, such as with Onambula United FC in the Northwest Stream First Division.”
